Grandma Jean and Inauguration

       She came, she saw, she conquered the hearts of our kids. We are so glad Grandma Jean came to visit us. Thanks for a great time (even though we only have one picture!)

       She came in for the Inauguration, and we trekked down to the mall in the cold with three kids. We got there just in time for the video screen to fail. Oops! Back home we went and read the speech on the way back.

SNOW!

Forget the Inauguration, forget Grandma Jean's visit (they were both great, posts to come) we have SNOW! Miri and Robin went outside this morning with Daddy before Mommy was even awake! Aaron was still sleeping too. After breakfast we all warmed up with hot chocolate. Miriam even got to go to school 45 minutes late....her first "snow morning."

We have a Three-Year-Old!

What is better than turning three? Turning three in California with two aunts, two uncles, three grandparents, six cousins, two siblings, and two parents. Whew! Thank you to all our family who came for Robin's birthday and Grandma Jean and PopPop for feeding and hosting the crew. What a day and what a great kiddo!

Robin is exuberant. For her, every day is an adventure. She wakes up smiling and rarin' to go with whatever the day brings. Bike rides, ice skating, cooking, preschool, puzzles — she loves it all. She cracks herself (and the rest of us) up constantly. She is independent and determined to do everything Miriam can do. She is expressive (check out the slideshow below). Watch out world....here comes Robin!

Here comes the cake! Vanilla cake (not white cake) with vanilla frosting and vanilla ice cream, with caramel.

Coronado Visit

We has such a great trip to Coronado to visit Grandma Jean and PopPop. A huge thank you to them for being such great hosts. Did we mention the girls slept at their place and we got not one but two rooms for us and Aaron. Heaven! We had a jam packed trip--zoo, Space Theater, nature center, puppet show, visits with folks and of course our favorite restaurants--Miguel's and Corvette Diner. We were so glad Uncle Ben and Aunt Megan could come down twice with Cousins Chase and Brynn. Our trip in pictures...
